Alison Lovett is a highly professional and accomplished Counsellor with 18 years of experience in the field. She is a member of the Australian Counselling Association and has worked in a range of diverse settings supporting clients of all ages including couples and families.
Alison is committed to helping her clients develop effective strategies to address their concerns and envisages Counselling as an act of strength and opportunity. By exploring an area of concern and seeking insight into the underlying issues and the impacts, Alison’s clients create the conditions that make genuine long-lasting change and growth. In this way, each Counselling session can develop into a positive, uplifting, and empowering experience. Alison is passionate about helping her clients find new ways to manage life’s challenges, with a focus on positive emotions, positive relationships, and positive experiences.
Each session with Alison is tailored to meet the clients’ personal therapeutic needs. Alison uses a client-centred approach drawing on many contemporary models of counselling into her practice, including Positive Psychology, Differentiation Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Mindfulness. Alison will fully listen, understand your concerns, and offer compassionate, non-judgmental, and highly confidential support. Alison believes counselling can be a very rewarding experience and she looks forward to helping you achieve greater understanding, connection, and happiness.
