Monika Sharma is a highly regarded and qualified professional counsellor with many years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Monika holds membership with the Australian Counselling Association and has a rich history of experiences working in a range of settings through her career.

Monika’s approach provides an opportunity where clients feel heard and valued which allows clients to explore and address the challenges and difficulties that they face. Monika deeply believes that everyone is an expert of their own life, and equipped to deal with the challenges that life throws at them. Furthermore, being self-aware of underlying thoughts, feelings, and emotions can assist greatly in finding the possible solutions to presenting challenges and disruption. This approach therefore empowers clients to engage in development and personal growth with the support of Monika acting as a guide.

Monika’s role is the counselling room is to support clients in exploring the different options they have. In her practice, Monika works according to a range of evidence based theoretical models including Person Centred Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Solution Focussed Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Narrative Therapy. Monika genuinely believes that sharing your story creates a sense of relief, and an opportunity to examine it without any judgements or labels.
